These standards guide how Nexpher News reports, edits, and presents journalism. Photography integrity standards used across the Nexpher Group are also documented on Nexpher Images Editorial Standards.

Our commitment

We publish accurate, fair, and clearly sourced journalism. Headlines, kickers, and social promotions must reflect the substance of the story.

Fairness

We seek relevant perspectives and avoid misleading juxtapositions of words and images. We give subjects a fair opportunity to respond to serious criticism when practical.

Conflicts of interest

Staff disclose conflicts that could affect coverage. Contributors do not report on matters where they have a direct financial interest without disclosure and desk approval.

Image integrity

Photographs must not be materially altered in a way that misleads. Cropping, exposure, and color correction for clarity are permitted. Composites, illustrations, and AI-generated or heavily synthetic imagery require clear labeling and must not be presented as documentary photographs.

Captions and credits

Captions should answer who, what, when, where, and why where known. Photographer and agency credits must be accurate. Third-party or wire imagery must be clearly identified.

Sensitive content

We weigh public interest against harm when covering violence, minors, or private individuals. Graphic imagery is used only when editorially necessary and is presented with appropriate context.

Verification

Editors verify facts, quotes, and visual claims before publication. User-generated or social media content is authenticated to the extent reasonably possible before use.
