Nexpher News staff and contributors follow these ethics guidelines in addition to our editorial standards. They are grounded in truth, independence, fairness, transparency, and respect for human dignity.
Truth and accuracy
- Never knowingly publish false or misleading information
- Verify facts before publication
- Correct errors promptly and transparently
- Present information in proper context
- Do not present speculation as fact
Independence
- Resist political, commercial, or other external pressure on coverage
- Do not accept gifts, travel, or favors that could influence coverage
- Keep a clear separation between editorial and commercial interests
- Disclose unavoidable conflicts of interest
Fairness
- Present multiple perspectives when appropriate
- Avoid bias in reporting and image selection
- Treat individuals and groups equitably
- Acknowledge limitations in our coverage
Honesty in sourcing and writing
We do not fabricate quotes, events, or sources. Plagiarism is prohibited. Embargoes and access agreements are honored when accepted by the desk.
Social media
Public commentary by staff should not undermine the newsroom’s credibility or reveal confidential sourcing.
Accountability
We take responsibility for published work, respond to legitimate complaints, and improve processes when mistakes occur. See also our Corrections Policy.
